Overviews
An excerpt from Welcome to Chiang Mai magazine: "With an average temperature of 10 - 18 degrees C throughout the year, refreshing breezes provide a welcome respite from the heat of Chiangmai. With the cool air and the tranquil sound of the flowing stream and gushing waterfall, it is not hard to see why people are perfectly happy to spend a few nights in this Shangri-La setting."
Itinerary
Day 1: White Water Rafting Just an hour and a half from Chiang Mai, the Mae Taeng River is without a doubt one of the most exciting thing you can do in Thailand. The Mae Taeng is a steep and continuous mountain stream; a unique combination of exceptionally fun and challenging rapids without it ever getting past the point of recreation. The thundering of the next rapid is never far downstream and the occasional pools of calm give a chance to reflect on the awesome beauty surrounding the river. Emerald green fields are terraced high above the river and curious villagers are amazed as we plunge through cascading waves and chutes of foam.
At the river everyone is fitted with rafting gear, then the trip leader and safety kayaker give a lesson in river safety, paddling technique, and what to do if you suddenly find yourself not sitting in a raft anymore.
This trip caters to all levels, whether you're an experienced adrenalin junkie or a first time paddler! Most rapids are class 3-with some class 4 and the best time of year for rafting is May - Oct when the river is high due to monsoon rains.

Day 2: Flight of the Gibbon
After a hearty breakfast you'll head off for a short jungle trek with an experienced guide.
The highlight of the package is The Flight of the Gibbon - a 3 hour, 2km air trek high up in the rainforest canopy using zip lines and sky bridges taking in the glory and majesty of old growth, high altitude pristine rainforest.
Lunch is served on your return, lastly there is a spectacular short trek up beside the impressive Mae Gompong Waterfalls.
Before you return to the city of Chiang Mai there is an afternoon snack with locally grown organic Arabica coffee. Then it is into the VIP minibus for a 45 minute drive back to civilization. We believe you will sleep well tonight.
